Eight years ago, Think Tank for Inclusion & Equity (TTIE) began our work with a simple mission: how to quantify our experiences as historically excluded writers in the TV industry? Since then, we’ve expanded our focus to push for authentic storytelling and developed strategies to advocate for safe and inclusive work environments. Despite the current climate, we stay committed to making Hollywood an inclusive and equitable space for all. 

Divisive forces and disinformation can vilify our work, attempt to strip our rights, try to erase our existence, but the facts are these: People of all kinds exist, have always existed, and will continue to exist—no matter the harmful attempts to suppress and silence our voices. And our voices are behind powerful stories that are vibrant, entertaining, and essential to society—as well as highly profitable and proven successful. It is through this mission that we’d like to share with you the theme of our work for 2025: Resilience Through Community. Writers from all walks of life are facing incredible economic hardships. Everyone has been or knows someone affected by industry contraction; so many have lost their homes and been displaced in the LA wildfires and other natural disasters; millions of people around the globe are barely scraping by, on top of living in fear of what horrors lie next. These conditions affect ALL writers and their communities… but the silver lining is we are united in the struggle. We don't have the answers to solve these insurmountable problems. But we can be there for one another by sharing resources and strengthening the ties that will keep us grounded, motivated, and energized to keep fighting the good fight.
